BASSMENT head-honcho KATANA continues to keep the foot on the gas in 2020 with the release of his second EP, We Will Figure It Out - a project inspired by the bedroom producer community of which he has harnessed, mentored and become the leader.

“bedroom producers don’t play by the rules, it’s just pure creativity and emotions - that’s the concept I’ve adopted for this project”

A native of Japan, KATANA has been mixing tracks and producing in his adopted hometown of Auckland for almost two decades. His style blends the boundaries of electronic, hip-hop, RnB, and Trap. Since the inception of BASSMENT in 2016, it's impact has seen a rise in new young producers and DJs all wanting to fly the brand's flag.

We Will Figure Out is spearheaded by appearances and features from Sejo (USA), Wayvee (NZ), and Wolfkooky (Korea) and is available on all streaming platforms now.
